# Fees Overview

Current testnet fees.

{% hint style="info" %}
Mainnet fees may change.
{% endhint %}

### In-App Fees

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Deposit</strong></td><td>No VOID protocol fee on testnet.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Private Send</strong></td><td>No VOID send fee on testnet.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Private Buy / Sell</strong></td><td>0.5% VOID trade fee on testnet.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Private Swap</strong></td><td>0.5% VOID trade fee per step. One step for assets that share a market (0.5%); two steps through an intermediate asset (about 1% in total).</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Withdraw</strong></td><td>No VOID withdrawal fee on testnet.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Gasless Swap</strong></td><td>0.5% VOID fee plus swap gas, both taken from the token you receive.</td></tr></tbody></table>

### Other Costs

You may also see:

* Uniswap pool fees: 0.3% on Uniswap V2 pairs and 1% on the ETH / VOID Uniswap v4 pool. The fee that applies depends on the route your trade takes
* price impact
* token approval gas, usually once per token
* network gas where your wallet submits the transaction, such as deposits, or if you choose to submit a Private Send or Withdraw from your own wallet

Proof generation is currently hosted by VOID and is free on testnet.

### VOID Trade Fee

The **0.5% trade fee** on testnet goes to the VOID treasury, secured by a **2-of-3 Safe**.

#### Testnet Treasury Safe

`0xABfd8d8Cc4D4df1C822FcC28b3c989f2f19C7B22`

Every trade shows the VOID fee before you confirm.

{% hint style="info" %}
The 0.5% VOID trade fee is separate from:

* underlying pool fees
* price impact
* network gas
  {% endhint %}

### VOID Token Launch

The following applies to the planned **VOID token launch** and is separate from in-app protocol fees.

#### Launch Pool

The official launch pool is planned to use **Uniswap v4 on Robinhood Chain**.

#### Launch Trading Tax

A temporary launch tax is planned to apply to every buy and sell through the official launch pool.

The launch tax:

* is paid in ETH
* is sent to the operations / treasury Safe
* is hard-coded into the Uniswap v4 hook
* cannot be changed after deployment
* applies separately from the normal VOID in-app trade fee
* does not make VOID a transfer-tax token

{% hint style="info" %}
The VOID token itself remains a plain ERC-20 with **no token-level transfer tax**.
{% endhint %}

#### Safe Trades

If the Safe itself trades through the official launch pool during a taxed period, the tax is still applied by the hook and sent back to the Safe.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Project-controlled wallets are not planned to trade during the temporary launch-tax period.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://void-protocol-2.gitbook.io/void-protocol-docs/fees/fees-overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
