# VOID Token

VOID is the protocol token of **VOID Protocol**.

It is designed to support the launch, operation and growth of the VOID ecosystem on Robinhood Chain.

{% hint style="warning" %}
The mainnet VOID token has **not launched yet**.

The current Robinhood Chain Testnet uses a valueless VOID test token for testing only.
{% endhint %}

### Token Overview

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Name</strong></td><td>VOID</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Planned Total Supply</strong></td><td>1,000,000,000 VOID</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Decimals</strong></td><td>6</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Token Standard</strong></td><td>ERC-20</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Network</strong></td><td>Robinhood Chain</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Additional Minting</strong></td><td>None planned after deployment</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Token-Level Transfer Tax</strong></td><td>None</td></tr></tbody></table>

### Testnet Token

Robinhood Chain Testnet uses a **VOID test token** for testing protocol functionality.

The test token:

* has no monetary value
* is used only for testnet functionality
* is not the future mainnet VOID token
* should not be treated as mainnet token information

Test VOID is not available from the faucet because the token has a fixed supply. Get it with **Private Buy** using WETH or tUSDG.

{% hint style="info" %}
The mainnet VOID token will be a **new production deployment**.

Testnet token addresses, balances and transaction history should not be treated as future mainnet token information.
{% endhint %}

### Retired Test Tokens

Two VEIL-branded test tokens were used during earlier rounds of development:

* an 18-decimal test token: `0x62515c5da5D38Fa6c85C273b1882d174F9616cf8`
* a 6-decimal legacy test VEIL token, retired on 26 October 2026 when testnet VOID was deployed

These tokens have been **retired for new deposits and trades**.

Existing private notes created with the retired token can still be withdrawn from the pool that originally issued them.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Do not use the retired test token for new deposits or trades.
{% endhint %}

### Mainnet VOID

The production VOID token will be deployed as part of the VOID mainnet launch.

The current plan is for VOID to be:

* fixed at **1,000,000,000 tokens**
* configured with **6 decimals**
* a plain **ERC-20**
* non-mintable after deployment
* free of token-level transfer taxes

{% hint style="info" %}
Launch protections, including the temporary launch trading tax, are implemented through the official **Uniswap v4 launch pool** rather than through the VOID token itself.
{% endhint %}

For supply allocation, locks and vesting, see **Tokenomics**.

For launch mechanics, liquidity, launch protections and transparency, see **Token Launch & Transparency**.

### Contract Address

The official mainnet VOID contract address has **not yet been published**.

It will be published through VOID's official channels once the production deployment has been completed and verified.

{% hint style="danger" %}
Any token claiming to be the official mainnet VOID token before VOID publishes the verified contract address should be treated as fraudulent.
{% endhint %}

### Mainnet Status

Mainnet is planned only after completion of:

* the required external security review
* final production deployment testing
* contract verification
* production-readiness checks
* final launch sign-off

{% hint style="info" %}
No mainnet launch date has been confirmed.

Security and production readiness take priority over launch timing.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://void-protocol-2.gitbook.io/void-protocol-docs/start-here/veil-token.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
