# Connect Wallet

VOID has **no account, email or password**. You simply connect your wallet.

The first time you open the app, a welcome screen introduces VOID. Click **Enter VOID** to continue.

The welcome screen will not appear again in that browser.

### Supported Wallets

VOID supports:

* **Browser wallets** using EIP-6963, including MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, OKX Wallet, Phantom and Trust Wallet
* **Coinbase Wallet**, including without the browser extension
* **WalletConnect** for mobile wallets using a QR code

If no wallet is detected, VOID will show an install prompt.

### Connect to VOID

1. Open [app.void-protocol.com](https://app.void-protocol.com).
2. Click **Connect Wallet**.
3. Select your wallet and approve the connection.
4. Approve the switch to **Robinhood Chain Testnet**.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Robinhood Chain Testnet**

Chain ID: `46630`
{% endhint %}

If your wallet does not already know the network, approve adding it.

### Unlock Your Private Balance

VOID asks you to **sign a message** to unlock your encrypted notes in that browser.

The signature is:

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Free</strong></td><td>No gas fee is charged for signing the message.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Off-Chain</strong></td><td>The signature is not an on-chain transaction.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Local Unlock</strong></td><td>It is used to unlock your private balance and encrypted notes in that browser.</td></tr></tbody></table>

{% hint style="warning" %}
Always check what your wallet is asking you to sign before approving a request.
{% endhint %}

### Wallet Safety

{% hint style="danger" %}

#### Never share your seed phrase

VOID will **never ask for your seed phrase or private key**.

If any website, message or person asks for either, do not continue.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://void-protocol-2.gitbook.io/void-protocol-docs/user-guide/connect-wallet.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
