# Private Sell

Private Sell sells a token from your **private balance** and returns the proceeds to your **private balance**.

The trade executes on-chain through the underlying liquidity pool.

The swap remains public, while your wallet and private-note history stay protected.

{% hint style="info" %}
Private Sell protects the link between your wallet and private balance.

The underlying pool execution itself remains public.
{% endhint %}

### Markets

Available markets on Robinhood Chain Testnet:

* **VOID / WETH**
* **VOID / tUSDG**
* **WETH / tUSDG**

VOID trades are routed through the **ETH / VOID Uniswap v4 pool** (1% pool fee). Its temporary launch tax has ended, so VOID trades now pay **0% launch tax**.

Both legacy test VEIL tokens (6-decimal and the earlier 18-decimal token) are retired and are not used for any Private Sell route.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Testnet VOID has no monetary value and is not the future mainnet VOID token.
{% endhint %}

### Steps

1. Connect your wallet and unlock your private balance.
2. Open **Private Sell**.
3. Choose the market and amount.
4. Review the quote, including price, minimum received, price impact and the **0.5% VOID trade fee**.
5. Confirm within **120 seconds**.
6. The **VOID relayer** submits the trade.
7. Proceeds arrive as a private note.
8. Withdraw separately if you want to move the proceeds back to a public wallet.

### Trade Settings

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Default Slippage</strong></td><td>1%</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Maximum Price Impact</strong></td><td>3%</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Quote Lifetime</strong></td><td>120 seconds</td></tr></tbody></table>

{% hint style="warning" %}
Trades above the **3% price-impact limit** are refused.

Testnet liquidity is limited, so larger trades may fail.
{% endhint %}

### Fees

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>VOID Trade Fee</strong></td><td>0.5% on testnet. Mainnet fees may change.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Fee Destination</strong></td><td>Sent to the VOID treasury, controlled by a 2-of-3 Safe.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Pool Costs</strong></td><td>Underlying liquidity pool fee and price impact still apply.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Gas</strong></td><td>Paid by the VOID relayer.</td></tr></tbody></table>

The VOID trade fee is shown before confirmation.

### Limits

#### VOID

VOID uses **6 decimals**.

A single private note can hold approximately **18.4 trillion tokens**, so there is no practical per-note limit.

The minimum VOID amount for a private trade is **200 VOID**. The other minimums are **1 tUSDG** and **0.0002 WETH**. The private pool contract enforces these on the amount you spend.

#### USDG

USDG can be frozen by its issuer.

The app displays this warning when interacting with USDG markets.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Issuer controls remain in force even when USDG is held inside VOID.
{% endhint %}

### What Is Public

The underlying pool swap remains visible on-chain, including:

* market
* amounts
* transaction time
* the VOID relayer as the on-chain sender

{% hint style="success" %}
Your public wallet address and private-note history are not revealed in the trade transaction.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://void-protocol-2.gitbook.io/void-protocol-docs/user-guide/private-sell.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
